The 23rd ASEF Summer University 2021 (ASEFSU) is a 2-week experiential learning venture and “Interdisciplinary Innovation” for Asian and European understudies and youthful experts.

Intended to cultivate multifaceted trades and organizations among youth, it will offer you the chance to expand your viewpoints, extend your insight on contemporary issues, and propose solid answers for cultural difficulties.

Available Programs

The ASEF Summer university will consist of 3 phases:

• Phase 1: Online Preparatory phase (8 weeks)
  In this phase, you will actively take part in an online preparatory phase to familiarise yourself with the topics of the project. As part of it you will work on individual and group assignments, as well as attend online webinars on topics ranging from Urbanisation & the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to International Relations & ASEM.
• Phase 2: “Interdisciplinary Innovation” in South Asia (2 weeks)
  The program will offer you training, workshops, lectures, and study visits to develop your understanding of the themes covered by the project. As part of the program, you will also go from theory to practice as you will be given the opportunity to co-develop and test solutions to urbanization, migration, and youth employment challenges faced by local authorities, businesses, and civil society organizations in the region.
• Phase 3: Online Post-project Phase and Spin-off activities (4 weeks)
  All prototypes developed on-site – analog and digital – will be analyzed and tested after the project by relevant stakeholders and communities engaged. In addition, the project’s best-performing participants will be invited to present the outcomes at high-level ASEM Ministerial Meetings and other events.
